Collaboration with Fatima Foundation Nepal

In March 2017, CRS collaborated with Fatima Foundation Nepal (FFN), an NGO based in Banke, working to empower Muslim women. As part of this collaboration, CRS conducted 20 women’s group meetings reaching 371 women with messages on health and hygiene and family planning. The major findings of the sessions were that almost all participants had little or no knowledge on FP and were also hesitant to learn more; and early marriage tradition resulted  in limited opportunities to explore such information. 

CRS plans to conduct a small scale survey in Banke district within the Muslim community to understand knowledge, attitude and practice of FP and other MCH seeking behaviors. Based on the information gathered and the gaps identified, CRS will develop tailored interventions program accordingly.
